About Us
Since it’s inception in 1997, Right Laboratory and Health Screen has grown over the years and under a new banner – Right Healthcare it now encompasses 3 new divisions namely- Right Health Screening Services, Right Medical and Oncology Centre and Right International Medical Services in addition to its core business as an Invitro Diagnostic Centre, namely Right Laboratory
Right Health Screening Services
provides a one stop service for routine health screening services and also caters to special screening packages for corporate clients, pre-employment check -ups, screening for students going for overseas studies and other customized screening packages.
Seafarers’ Health Screen services
After acquiring ISO 9001:2015 for Medical Examination Service for Seafarers from Nippon KaijiKyokai in February 2018 and Approval to conduct Myanmar Seafarers’ Medical Examinations and Certifications from Department of Marine Administration (DMA), a full range of tests for all seafarers was established and in addition to the above, special eye tests, cardiac assessment, psychological assessments and certification of a clean bill of health could be provided by our DMA certified physicians
Right Medical and Oncology Centre
With changing times , there was a need to cater to patients with special medical needs , mainly focusing on Cancer Treatment, which resulted in a new service- the Right Medical and Oncology Centre where investigations and support services were provided in addition to medical oncology services.
Right International Medical Services
The newfound affluence of many also meant there were patients who chose to go abroad for medical treatment out of necessity or through personal choices and because of it’s strong base and links in Singapore, the Right International Medical Services was added to the group. RIMS assists these patients in providing vital information about medical services, facilities and specialists in Singapore , for the present, and helps to arrange for consultations and hospital appointments as well as logistics and other concierge services.
Reference Laboratory Projects
As Right Healthcare grew in size and services offered we gained the reputation of a laboratory practicing an international level of service and also quality assured diagnostic services, which led to the establishment of reference Laboratory for 2 international Laboratory Diagnostics suppliers.
With the assistance of Roche Diagnostics, Myanmar , in 2016 we were able to establish a Reference chemical pathology reference laboratory at 16th street centre which was crucial in not only maintain high quality services but also helped us obtain accreditation from the Singapore Accreditation Council and acquired our ISO 15198-2012. This centre operates mainly with Roche Diagnostics products including a Laboratory Information System ( LIS) Similarly, another international diagnostic equipment provider, Mindray, form China, worked with Right lab and we established another Reference laboratory project at the NorhOkkala centre.
Company Growth and Reinvestments
RHC has reinvested most of its earnings to expand its network and services and from 2017 onwards, embarked on new locations and also reviewed some of the current operations and added more strategic satellite labs and collection centres. is licensed under the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Trade as a Type A laboratory. Equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation, the laboratory is subject to stringent internal and external quality control programs.

Both internal and external quality assurance is being practised and standards have been made to assure our clients of the most reliable Diagnostic laboratory services in Myanmar.
Quality Assurance
The laboratory has participated in ISO 9002 external quality assurance programmes since 2001-02 under the Singapore General Hospital and the Randox Laboratories of UK (RIQAS ).
Right Laboratory currently subscribes to proficiency testing programs through the RCPA (Australasia).We have been a member of the Quality Assurance Programs(Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia) as far back as 2003 and these are some of the programmes we have participated in

Right Lab Molecular Diagnostic Centre - A new division was initiated in the later part of 2012 by May 2013 the Right Laboratory Molecular Diagnostic Centre came into being. It is a custom designed Biosafety Level 2+ laboratory and Real-Time PCR tests for HIV, HBC, HBV and MTB were carried out successfully. It is located in PyinOoLwin , Myanmar and we are able to service tests coming from all parts of Myanmar
Commercial Associate Agreement- Right Healthcare Company also signed a Commercial Associate Agreement with Qiagen- Asia Pacific, a renowned Germany based company and a leader in molecular biology technology, in Nov 2013 and this terminated in 2017 as Right Laboratory undertook some changes in Molecular Biology services after deciding to focus on new diagnostic tools , namely Roche Diagnostics new Roche Cobas x480 System, since 2016.
INTERNATIONAL AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS
ISO Certification - In August 2013 Right Healthcare Company was certified and registered against the provisions of ISO 9001:2008 (International Standard) by the Global Group , another major milestone for the company.
The ClassNK certification for ISO 9001:2015 was obtained in 2017 from Nippon KaijiKyokai, for Quality Management System Registration relating to Seafarers Medical Examination and Certification.
SAC ACCREDITATION - ISO 15189:2012WAS ACQUIRED IN April 2019 , a new milestone for us a testament to the stringent controls and reliable laboratory services we provided.
Overseas Affliations -
Even as we strive to provide a very comprehensive range of laboratory services within the country there are occasions where special tests or special equipment are required and we then supplement our services with overseas institutes , to which we are affiliated to, such as NUH ,SGH and Raffles Hospital in Singapore.
For special investigations such as imaging ( MRI, PET-CT scans) or Radiation therapy such as Radiosurgery or Cyberknife surgery, we are affiliated with hospitals in Malaysia ( PCMC) and India (HCG – Cancer management ) and can provide our clients with an extended service to meet their needs at very affordable rates.
