RIGHT LABORATORY MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES
In 2013, Right Laboratory introduced a new service in Molecular Biology with a custom designed and built Bio-Safety Level (BSL) 2 Plus laboratory , located in Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo). The BSL laboratory meets the recommended criteria for such labs and was designed to have its special Air-flow and control system, Temperature control and Pressure regulated rooms to perform Real-time PCR in a safe and controlled environment.
A commercial agreement was signed between Right Healthcare Company and Qiagen Asia-Pacific, a renowned German company based in Singapore, and the main equipment and reagents used are from Qiagen
Right Molecular Diagnostics Centre offers physicians and patients the most advanced molecular diagnostics services. Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) for quantitative viral load studies for HIV, HCV and HBV are carried out routinely as well as for Mycobacteria TB, at our centre in Pyin Oo Lwin.

Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR)
The main advantage of real-time PCR over PCR is that real-time PCR allows you to determine the initial number of copies of template DNA (the amplification target sequence) with accuracy and high sensitivity over a wide dynamic range. Quantitative real-time PCR is also known as qPCR analysis.
Because real-time qPCR reactions are run and data are evaluated in a unified, closed-tube qPCR system, opportunities for contamination are reduced and the need for postamplification manipulation is eliminated in qPCR analysis.
A real-time PCR detection system consists of a thermal cycler equipped with an optical detection module to measure the fluorescence signal generated during each amplification cycle as the fluorophore binds to the target sequence.
Our real-time PCR detection systems include Bio-Rad Thermal Cycler as well as Qiagen’s Rotorgene Q thermal cycler

Bio-Rad real-time PCR detection systems, feature thermal cyclers with interchangeable modules for singleplex and multiplex detection of fluorophores as well as fixed real-time PCR units. All qPCR systems feature thermal gradient functionality
Rotor-Gene Q (Qiagen)
QIAGEN's real-time PCR cycler, the Rotor-Gene Q, combines multiple optimized design features to provide the outstanding performance and reliable results . A unique thermal and optical performance due to rotary format with an unmatched optical range spanning UV to infrared wavelengths which is supported by state-of-the art analyses with user-friendly software
QIAcube- Automated Extraction System
QIAcube offers a fully automated extraction with spin-column kits and totally eliminates the manual processing steps. The innovative QIAcube uses advanced technology to process QIAGEN spin columns, enabling seamless integration of automated, low-throughput sample prep into the laboratory workflow. No change of purification chemistry is required, assuring fast startup and immediate results. All steps in the purification procedure are fully automated — up to 12 samples can be processed per run.
